Our founder, Tyler Shepherd, has sharpened professionally for more than fifty years, delivering razor sharp edges on knives, scissors, rotary fabric cutters, tools, planar blades, paper cutters, surgical instruments, food slicer blades, cherry stem cutter blades, and much more!
How much does sharpening cost?
We are happy to provide estimates over the phone we offer discounts if you sharpen multiple knives or tools at once. The prices below should give you a good idea, but please don't hesitate to get in touch to tell us your needs and get the best price in town for the highest quality service!
Knives up to 3 1/2” $ 6.00
Knives up to 5" $ 7.00
Knives up to 7” $ 9.00
Knives up to 9” $ 10.00
Knives over 9” & Cleavers $ 12.00+ (Serrated edges add $.50/in)
Scissors up to 4” blades $ 8.00
Large & pinking shears $ 12.00+
Pruners 3” or less $ 9.00
Hatchets & Axes per edge $ 8.00+
Grass Shears & Loppers $ 14.00+
Asian knives, add per in. $ 2.00

Any specialty item or reconditioning will depend.
Prices may vary based on condition of tools.
Do you sharpen scissors or other speciality tools?
If it's got a blade, we can probably sharpen it! Bring us your favorite sewing scissors, cherry stem cutter blades, antique tools, or even a medieval sword. We will bring a razor sharp edge to your blade while preserving the quality of your item.
How do I get my knives or tools to you for service?
I have drop off service at Midee Stitch Saddle and Tack Repair at 4120 W. Powerhouse Road, and now Lotsa Guns and Stuff located at 1701 S 1st St., Suite 201, Yakima, WA 98901, (509) 426-3197.
I will pick up orders of $50 or more at a mutually pre-arranged location.
